Articulation

I had a conversation with this Canadian guy the other day about places each of us has enjoyed along the way. He stopped to point out how well I had painted the picture of where I was, what it was like, and what I saw. For me, that comment caught me off-guard, the place I was speaking about left such an imprint in my mind, that I just described what I recalled. It made me realize what really made the difference in conversations I have had along the way with various people. It is so important to not just ‘shoot the shit’ but to be expressive, not worry about filling the voids and be articulate.
