To exterminate or not to exterminate...

Since seeing at least two lanes of ant traffic an hour in Costa Rica I have been prompted to explore the purpose of ants. It is specific…let me tell you (or for that matter, let Lauren tell you). One should not attempt to exterminate an ant colony when in line of traffic. They are great (may be an overstatement) to have around. They invade a house – but in a particular up and down pathway, they clear out all of the others dead insects and then they leave….if not, like with many genetically modified, overgrown ants from America, maybe then an exterminator is warranted.
